Uralsvyazinform to Increase Local Tariffs by 7% from March 2009

Ekaterinburg – February 19, 2009 – Uralsvyazinform (RTS: URSI/URSIP, ADR: UVYZY/ UVYZYP), the leading carrier of fixed-line and mobile services in the Urals region, Russia reports on the forthcoming increase of tariffs for local telephone services.

Following the order issued by the Federal Tax Service of Russia , Uralsvyazinform will increase the charges for local telephone services from March 1, 2009.

The new ruling will affect line rentals, per-minute charges and pre-paid limit in combined tariff. Tariff upgrade will average 7% upside of local telephone tariffs for residential subscribers.
